Mission. Archer Surveying  LLC is dedicated to providing efficient, thorough, and high quality service. We evaluate each project, discuss all possible options & move in the direction that best suits our clients objective.

We continue to invest in technology and our people to ensure that you receive professional and reliable service coupled with speed of delivery and a quality survey.

Archer Surveying LLC is a full service land surveying company, located in the quiet corner of Northeastern Connecticut. Since the company was established in 1998, we have been providing our services throughout the state of Connecticut. Archer Surveying started off as a little family owned and run business, doing all of the work on the weekends but over the past 19 years it has developed into a full time business but yet it has not lost its family run business philosophy. As a company we do our best to meet every need of the client in a timely manner, making the process as easy as possible. This method is just one of the many good qualities that our company possesses.

Paul founded Archer Surveying after learning the trade from several consulting engineering / surveying firms. He has done surveying for broad range of clients, residential, commercial, and municipalities.

Paul has an associate’s degree in engineering from Thames Valley Technical College. He is member of Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors and National Society of Professional Surveyors. Paul is committed to volunteer work in his local community.

Katlyn Archer Gugliotti
Survey Technician

Katlyn began her career in Land Surveying in 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography with a Specialization in GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and a Minor in Environmental Geography from Central Connecticut State University in 2014. She then went on to complete the Surveying and Mapping Technician Program at Three Rivers Community College where she finished cum laude. She has been working for Archer Surveying since starting her career in 2008 and continues to grow with the company.

Outside of work Katlyn volunteers her time as a member of the Windham County Agricultural Society where she is currently the recording secretary and entertainment coordinator.

Bruce D. Woodis, P.L.S.

Mr. Woodis, former President and Principal of KWP Associates, had been employed by the firm since 1973 and was responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of field and office personnel.  Mr. Woodis was acting project manager for boundary & topographic surveys, subdivision design, industrial/residential/commercial development, ground control for aerial photogrammetry and construction staking. Mr. Woodis provides expert representation for the review and approval of projects before municipal boards and agencies. Mr. Woodis will be continuing to provide his expertise in the field of surveying here at Archer Surveying.

Mr. Woodis attended Marietta College, Thames Valley Technical School, Hartford State Technical College and University of Connecticut, as well as numerous state-wide technical seminars.  Mr. Woodis is a specialist in fields of land planning and real estate law, land records research and boundary line determination.  He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors, and formerly served on a review committee for the State of Connecticut licensing examination for surveyors.

Mr. Woodis is a Licensed Land Surveyor in the States of Connecticut and Massachusetts and is a member of Connecticut Associations of Land Surveyors.

Allan W. Woodis, P.L.S.

Alan Woodis graduated from Becker College in 1976 with an Associates Degree in Science.  He has been involved in the surveying and computer software businesses continuously until the present time.  Alan was a Senior Project Manager with KWP Associates and was responsible for managing some of KWP’s larger, more complex projects.  He is a licensed land surveyor in the State of Connecticut.  Alan will continue his work in the surveying field here at Archer Surveying.

Mr. Woodis is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors and frequently attends continuing educations courses and seminars related to the land surveying field.

David A. Smith, P.E., L.S.

David A. Smith, Lead Civil Engineer was employed by KWP Associates and Soil Technology Associates since 2013 and was responsible for all civil design services.  Mr. Smith has served as Town Engineer and Director of Public Works for the Towns of Tolland and Vernon, as well as Owner and Principal of his own Consulting Civil Engineering Company.  Mr. Smith is also a member of Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers.
